Cami's first day of school was today. Lily was quite unhappy, because she doesn't get to go until Thursday, but we will leave that for our
2nd first day of school post. Back to our brand-new second grader.
We walked to school with Cami's friend, who we thought was supposed to be in Cami's class, but it turned out they were in different classes. That was a little disappointing (and slightly chaotic, until they figured out that Cami really WAS on the roll somewhere), but she has friends in both classes and she's making the best of it.
We're really excited about her two new teachers--the first one is her English teacher (she's a seasoned teacher that we've heard rave reviews about), and then her Spanish teacher (I think I'm remembering this correctly) is braving the dual program in her first year of teaching. They both seem really kind and enthusiastic.
Cami came home so excited that she was a second grader and very happy about her day. Let's hope there are plenty more of those days to come!
